"To be a hero, sometimes, you have to be a villain in someone's story."

Most people relate to a popular trend online, "Coming into your Villain Era." The majority of them are chronic people pleasers who are tired of people taking advantage of their kindness, struggling with boundaries, and taking the blame for things that aren't their fault. If you keep giving yourself to others endlessly, eventually, you start getting fed up, and you start entering the "Villain Era." Now, this can mean a lot to different people. For some people, it means becoming toxic and showcasing more negative traits; for others, it can be shut down and not be eager to make an effort with people, very recluse. However, the consensus of what the "Villain Era" means is allowing yourself to be the villain in other people's perspectives to be the hero in your own story.

What does this mean specifically?

  • It means putting your needs and yourself first.
  • Setting Boundaries and enforcing them.
  • Not to explain yourself if you don't want to.
  • Standing up for yourself when disrespected.
  • Listen to your own body and trust yourself.
  • Not taking on more than you can chew.
  • Treat yourself with respect and kindness.
  • Not always needing someone's opinion and trusting your gut.
  • Talking with confidence.
  • Walking with pride.
  • Being okay with disappointing people.
  • Being okay with rejecting people or getting rejected.
  • Not changing yourself to cater to someone else.
  • Not trying to win people over and being okay with being disliked.
  • Allowing fallouts to happen.
  • Realizing what others think about you is not your concern.

Fallouts will happen when people don't have access to the people-pleaser version of you. People will view it as unfair or view you as a "changed person" only because they no longer can say what your value is.

People who go through the "Villain Era" transformation have a lot of rooted pain. So they may struggle with this new sense of body autonomy and freedom, to others who have abused their access to the person in transformation may view them as villains." The Villain Era" is called that because villains aren't born but created.

The next step of the healing journey after the "Villain Era" is Enlightenment & reaching a Higher Self. Letting go of the wounded Ego releases the dark energy that shackles you.
